PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
- KOVA EXTERIOR SURFACE MASTER MT-N is a specially designed, highly flexible, paste-like exterior mastic used to smooth outdoor walls before coating. Flexible mastic has outstanding hardness and adhesion, suitable for high-class works and special paint systems such as imitation stone paint, brocade paint, wood grain paint, water paint.
SUPERIOR CHARACTERISTICS
- Smooth surface, easy to apply, extremely durable.
- Tightly bonded with the capillaries of concrete and cement mortar, giving good adhesion.
- No blistering, good weather resistance, UV resistance.
- No crow's feet cracking.
- Capable of sealing capillary mortar, sealing small cracks better than putty powders, used for projects requiring long-term durability.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
Pack:
- 25kg barrel; 6kg barrel.
- Applicable surface: Cement mortar, concrete, brick, plaster.
- Dry Thickness: About 1mm per layer. The optimal thickness for 2 coats after drying is about 1.5mm. Do not apply mastic too thick because it will reduce the durability of the entire coating system.
- Theoretical rating: 0.88 – 1.0 m2/kg for 2 layers depending on the material surface.
SURFACE PREPARATION
- New Walls: Must be allowed to dry and stabilize the structure (minimum 12 – 15 days) and cleaned of dirt.
- Old wall: Must scrape off grease, moss, old layers of paint, lime, then rinse thoroughly with clean water and let dry.
- Step 1: Prepare the mixture according to the following ratio: 6kg barrel of flexible Mastic: 1-1.5 kg of Cement + Amount of clean water (just enough). Box of 25 kg of flexible Mastic: 4-7 kg of Cement + Amount of clean water ( just enough).
- *Note: Mix cement with a sufficient amount of clean water to form a paste, stir thoroughly until homogeneous. Then, mix the cement and water with KOVA flexible Mastic. Adjust the appropriate paste for easy application.
- Step 2: Use two layers of trowel, spaced 3-4 hours apart. Leave to dry after 6-8 hours, use sandpaper to flush flat, blow away dust, can apply primer.
- The water used to make mastic is absolutely clean water. Do not use dirty or contaminated water.
- If the wall has cracks, it must be filled with Elastic Waterproofing Agent CT-14 first.
- If the weather is too dry, it is necessary to moisten the wall before applying flexible mastic.
- It is not recommended to apply too thick flexible mastic because it will reduce the durability of the entire coating system.
- Do not add other powders to KOVA flexible mastic.
- Clean tools with clean water immediately after use.
- If flexible mastic has been mixed with a mixture of water and cement, it must be used within 1 hour, because after that time the product will harden.
