TOTO TAJ FALAKNUMA PALACE HYDERABAD Project
Falaknuma Palace, once the residence of the Nizam of Hyderabad, has now been leased by the Hyderabad royal family to the Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces Group, with members of the royal family personally overseeing some of the palace's renovations. Guests can experience the Nizam's renowned hospitality, previously reserved for royalty.

Built by the Prime Minister of the 6th Nizam, the construction began in 1884 and was completed in 1893. The palace took 10 years to restore and opened to the public on November 13, 2010. Perched 2000 feet above the city of Hyderabad, the Taj Falaknuma Palace, with its beautifully renovated and lovingly restored rooms, allows you to step into the clouds and travel back to the bygone days where grandeur and opulence were celebrated and enjoyed in equal measure.
Those who have experienced the opulence of this place have been captivated by the grand Venetian chandeliers, rare furniture, grand marble staircases and merry fountains, priceless statues and works of art, stained glass windows, unique paintings and sketches encased in exquisitely decorated frames, a world-class crystal collection as well as Mughal, Rajasthani and Japanese gardens designed by the Nizam himself. The Palace Library, a replica of the library at Windsor Castle, is a collector’s dream as it houses rare books, manuscripts and one of the most famous collections of the Quran in the country, all selected and brought by the Nizam himself.
